Southeast Asia has eleven countries and this plan covers seven of them. Laos, Myanmar, Brunei and Timor-Leste are not included. That matters most on the classic Thailand – Laos – Vietnam route: in Laos, including the slow boat to Luang Prabang, this eSIM has no service.

Why a regional plan is simpler on a multi-country trip
A typical Southeast Asia loop is rarely one country. Bangkok, then a night bus into Cambodia, on to Vietnam, and a few days in Singapore or Bali at the end — that is four borders in three weeks. With country eSIMs you buy a separate package for each of them.
That costs you twice. First, you pay for a full package every time, even if you only spend five days in that country. Whatever you do not use is gone when you move on, and across four countries that quickly adds up to several unused gigabytes. Where coverage gets thinner
