The eSIM runs on Telkomsel, XL Axiata and Smartfren. There is nothing to set up: once you land in Indonesia and switch data roaming on for the eSIM, your phone finds a network by itself. You never have to type in an APN by hand. If reception is weak somewhere, go into your mobile network settings, switch network search from automatic to manual and pick another network – that usually helps more than restarting the phone.
On Bali, coverage is consistently good in Denpasar, Kuta, Seminyak, Canggu, Sanur, Nusa Dua, Ubud and Uluwatu, and you will be on 4G/LTE throughout.
