Simbye Cookie Policy

Effective Date: 28.04.2026
Last Updated: 28.04.2026

This Cookie Policy explains how Simbye Ltd ("Simbye", "we", "us", or "our") uses cookies and similar tracking technologies when you visit simbye.com ("Website") or use the Simbye mobile application ("App"). It should be read together with our Privacy Policy.

By continuing to use our Website or App, you consent to the use of cookies as described below, except for those that require explicit opt-in (e.g. analytics or marketing cookies, where applicable).

1. What Are Cookies?

Cookies are small text files stored on your device when you visit a website. They allow the website to remember your actions and preferences (such as login state, language, currency, dark mode) over a period of time. Similar technologies include local storage, session storage, and pixels.

2. Types of Cookies We Use

2.1 Strictly Necessary Cookies

These cookies are essential for the Website to function correctly. They cannot be disabled.

  • Cart contents and checkout session
  • Authentication / login state
  • Language and currency preferences
  • Dark mode / theme preference
  • Security tokens (CSRF, anti-fraud)

2.2 Functional Cookies

  • Saved form fields (e.g. country selection in Build Your Own eSIM)
  • Recently viewed products
  • Cookie consent preferences

2.3 Performance & Analytics Cookies

We use limited analytics to understand how visitors interact with our Website and App so we can improve performance and user experience. Where required by law, these are loaded only after you provide consent.

2.4 Security & Bot-Protection Cookies

To protect against fraud, automated abuse, DDoS, and credit-card testing, we use Cloudflare Bot Fight Mode, Managed Challenge, and Rate Limiting. These set short-lived cookies (e.g. __cf_bm, cf_clearance) that are essential for the security of our Service.

2.5 Third-Party Cookies

Some pages and the App may load resources from trusted third parties (e.g. payment processors during checkout, sign-in providers Apple/Google, font providers, content-delivery networks). These third parties may set their own cookies subject to their own privacy policies.

3. Cookies on the Mobile App

The Simbye App does not rely on traditional browser cookies. It uses local device storage (AsyncStorage) to remember your settings (language, currency, dark mode, login session, push-notification token). Removing the App from your device will delete this local data.

4. Managing Your Cookie Preferences

You can control cookies in several ways:

  • Browser settings: All major browsers allow you to block, delete, or accept cookies via the settings menu. Disabling strictly necessary cookies may prevent the Website from functioning.
  • Cookie banner: Where displayed, you can adjust your consent preferences for non-essential cookies at any time.
  • Mobile App: You may reset App data via your device's app settings or by reinstalling the App.

5. Do Not Track

Our Website does not currently respond to "Do Not Track" browser signals, but we honor explicit cookie consent decisions you make on our Website.

6. GDPR & UK-GDPR Compliance

If you are in the EEA, UK, or Switzerland, we obtain your consent before placing non-essential cookies. You may withdraw consent at any time by clearing cookies in your browser or via the cookie banner.

7. CCPA Compliance (California)

California residents have the right to opt out of the "sale" of personal information. Simbye does not sell personal information.

8. Changes to This Cookie Policy

We may update this Cookie Policy from time to time. The "Last Updated" date reflects the most recent revision. Material changes will be communicated on the Website or via email.
