How many eSIMs can I have on my device?
eSIM-compatible devices allow you to install multiple eSIMs. Depending on your device and manufacturer, you can have a physical SIM card alongside 1, 2, or even up to 12 eSIM plans. However, only one eSIM data plan can be active at a time. Switching between plans is quick and takes just a few seconds.
How can I check if my device supports eSIM?
To check if your device is eSIM-compatible, go to Settings > Connections > SIM card manager and look for the option to Add eSIM. If this option is available, your device supports eSIM technology.
Can I use eSIM and a physical SIM at the same time?
Yes, most eSIM-compatible devices allow you to use an eSIM and a physical SIM simultaneously. This feature is called Dual SIM and lets you manage two phone numbers or plans on the same device, perfect for separating work and personal use or for traveling.
Do I need an internet connection to activate an eSIM?
Yes, an active internet connection is usually required to activate an eSIM. This is because the eSIM profile is downloaded from the provider's server to your device. You can use Wi-Fi or mobile data from another SIM card to complete the activation. Once the eSIM is activated, you won’t need an internet connection for regular use unless specified by your provider.
